Power of POP Culture, POP Music, POP Psychology is in Producing, Optimizing and Promoting with Social Media

Producing content is essential to the success of an online marketing strategy. Whether its a website or blog, without content, there is nothing to read, watch or listen to. Consequently, there is no reason for a search engine to index the site.
Assuming you are interested in attracting attention to your website, then you need to learn about methods to create content, quickly and intelligently.

Content is created from certain elements: text, images, audio and video. Depending on how you combine the elements, people will consider the site valuable, or worthless.

Dr. Ron Capps, aka the Nicheprof, is a communications professor at a university in northwest Missouri. He spends most of his waking hours talking about, or demonstrating social media and online marketing.

Ken English, aka the MediaMojoGuy, is former marketing executive with experience in tourism, international trade and broadcasting.

Together, they produce a popular internet radio program (podcast) called the School of Social Marketing. Online since August 2008, the show provides a discussion about social media, and how to use it effectively.

Beginning Sunday, 22 January 2012 @ 12:30 PM ET, the show will focus on the Power of POP.

Although the show will include some music, it is not about the new king of POP. It will be on how to use music to enhance a video or podcast, which means it is royalty-free and instrumental.

Produce. Optimize. Promote.

Hurricane Irene – 28 August 2011 – NASA Image

hurricane irene on 28 August 2011

It’s a fascinating view from space, isn’t it?

This image was released on 28 August 2011. It clearly displays the relative size of Hurricane Irene as it begins it’s journey from Eastern North Carolina northward to New York City.

While the storm is not as powerful as it could have be, the sheer size of the wind field and the amount of rain is beyond anyone’s expectations. Hurricane Irene took more than 30 hours to pass over the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
